Judd looks to regain championship lead at Perth Motorplex
Robin Judd has his sight set on winning the Australian Top Doorslammer drag racing championship.
But first, Judd, who has been runner-up in the last two (Australian National Drag Racing Association) ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship series, must win the ‘championship round’, at this weekend’s 40th annual Westernationals at Perth Motorplex, Kwinana Beach.

Robin Judd is hopeful a new partnership will help him regain the (Australian National Drag Racing Association) ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship lead at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich, on January 14-15.
Perth-based Robin Judd Racing (RJR) has entered into a partnership agreement with Aeroflow Performance Products and Mickey Thompson performance tyres and wheels.
Judd, who unexpectedly lost in the first round at the recent Goldenstates Title at the Perth Motorplex, is hoping the new partnership will deliver his first win at Willowbank in 10 years and at the same time, reclaim the Top Doorslammer championship lead. READ MORE |

Robin Judd misses golden opportunity
A shock first round loss at the recent 39th annual Goldenstates Title at the Perth Motorplex has seen Robin Judd lose his lead in the (Australian National Drag Racing Association) ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship.
Judd was looking to win back-to-back Top Doorslammer events after winning the Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway in September and, for the second year in a row, the Nationals-Goldenstates double.
Judd started his Goldenstates title defense, posting the quickest and fastest pass for the event in the first qualifying session, 5.845 seconds at 245.23mph (394.57km/h), early on the Friday (December 3) evening. The time was his fifth quickest-ever pass. READ MORE |

Perth drag racer, Robin Judd, is looking to win back-to-back Top Doorslammer events at this weekend’s 39th annual Goldenstates Title at the Perth Motorplex.
Fresh from winning back-to-back Australian Nationals titles at Sydney Dragway in September, Judd is keen to reach a third-straight Goldenstates final.

Judd leads Australian Top Doorslammer championship
Robin Judd leads the (Australian National Drag Racing Association) ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship series after winning last month’s 45th annual Fuchs Australian Nationals titles at Sydney Dragway.
The win gave Perth-based Judd back-to-back Australian Nationals’ titles and a 26-point lead the 2010-2011 Top Doorslammer championship series.
Judd set up his second Top Doorslammer Nationals win after top qualifying with a 5.860-second at 244.43mph pass, recorded during the first qualifying session, which also saw Judd and Gary Phillips (5.939/245.81) run Australia’s sixth quickest and fastest side-by-side Top Doorslammer pass.

Determined Judd has unfinished business

Perth-based Robin Judd has unfinished business after finishing runner-up in the Australian National Drag Racing Association Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship for the second season in a row.
And for the second year in a row, Judd was also runner-up at the recent season-ending Castrol EDGE Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich, Queensland.
Judd was also runner-up in the inaugural $20,000 three-event – Westernationals, Perth, Nitro Champs, Sydney and Winternationals – Karcher Shootout.

Numbers stack-up for Judd

Perth Chartered Accountant, Robin Judd, does not have to do the sums to know how the numbers stack-up in the quest to win his first Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship.
Judd, who has won two events so far this season – Australian Nationals, Sydney and Goldenstates, Perth Motorplex – will go into the championship series-ending Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich, June 10-13, with a nine-point lead over arch-rival John Zappia.
While in the $20,000 three-event – Westernationals, Perth, Nitro Champs, Sydney and Winternationals – Karcher Shootout, Judd is 20 points behind Zappia.

Judd looks to build championship points lead

Perth-based Chartered Accountant, Robin Judd, will be looking to build on his Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship lead at this weekend’s (Friday to Sunday, April 30-May 2) seventh annual Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek.
However, while the methodical Judd and his well-drilled William Buck/K & B Exclusive team will be aiming for a third championship series event win this season, Judd was starting to wonder if he would actually be able to race in Sydney.
After competing at the Nitro Funny Car event at the Perth Motorplex mid-March, Judd and his wife went to the UK to visit their daughter and have a family holiday.

Judd retains Doorslammer championship lead

Perth-based Chartered Accountant, Robin Judd, has retained his Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship lead after coming runner-up at the recent Westernationals at the Perth Motorplex.
Looking for his third-straight Pro Series and first Westernationals event win, Judd led the 14 Top Doorslammers attempting to qualify for the eight-car field after the first qualifying session when he ran a 5.954-second at 241.93mph to be the only competitor in the five-second zone for the session.
However, as Judd crossed the finish line, his William Buck/K&B Exclusive ’59 Studebaker suffered some mechanical damage, which necessitated an engine change before the next qualifying session – two hours later.

Judd looks to break Westernationals drought

Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship leader, Robin Judd, will be out to break a nine-year drought at this weekend’s 39th annual Westernationals at Perth Motorplex, Kwinana Beach
Judd may have a handy championship series points lead and has won the last two series events, the Australian Nationals in Sydney and Goldenstates, Perth Motorplex – the recent Summernationals in Sydney was abandoned due to rain – however, the Westernationals has proved to be his hoodoo event.
The Perth-based Chartered Accountant has also reach six finals at the past nine events contested, but since the Motorplex opened in 2001, Judd has lost in the first round of eliminations at all Westernationals, except at the 2006 event when he reached the final, only to be runner-up.

Judd leads championship after Sydney rainout

Perth-based Chartered Accountant, Robin Judd, has edged closer to winning the 2009/2010 Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Doorslammer Championship despite last weekend’s (February 12-13) Summernationals at Sydney Dragway being abandoned due to heavy rain.
Judd, who was looking for his third-straight event win after winning the 2009 (September) Australian Nationals in Sydney and Goldenstates (November) in Perth, will go into next week’s Westernationals at the Perth Motorplex with a 50-point lead over Maurice Fabietti and 72 points ahead of defending champion John Zappia.
The Summernationals was called off after the first Pro Series qualifying session was completed.

Judd set to consolidate championship lead

Perth-based Top Doorslammer drag racer, Robin Judd, will look to consolidate his Australian championship series lead at next weekend’s (February 12-13) seventh annual Summernationals at the Sydney Dragway.
For the first time in his 10-year professional Group One drag racing career, Judd, a Chartered Accountant, will go into an event leading the 2009/2010 ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer championship with 315 points, 50 points ahead of Maurice Fabietti (265pts).
Judd will also be looking for his third-straight event win after winning the 2009 (September) Australian Nationals in Sydney then the (November) Goldenstates in Perth.

Judd takes Top Doorslammer championship lead

Robin Judd is now the outright leader in the 2009/2010 Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Doorslammer Championship after winning the 38th Goldenstates at the Perth Motorplex on November 14.
Judd, a Perth-based Chartered Accountant, has now won back-to-back major national events after winning the Australian Nationals in Sydney in September.
Going into the event, Judd was locked on 165 points after two rounds with archrival John Zappia and buoyed after recording Australia’s quickest-ever Doorslammer pass – 5.822-second – at the Perth Motorplex on October 31.

Judd’s record-breaking confidence boost

Perth-based Chartered Accountant, Robin Judd, is confident of taking the outright lead in the Australian Top Doorslammer championship series at the Perth Motorplex on November 13-14, after running Australia’s quickest-ever Doorslammer pass.
Judd will go into the 38th Goldenstates after recording the record-breaking 5.822-second pass at the Perth Motorplex on October 31 and fresh from winning the Australian Nationals at the Western Sydney Dragway in September.
Judd and archrival John Zappia are currently locked together on 165 points after two rounds of the 2009/2010 ANDRA Pro Series drag racing championship series.

Robin Judd wins his first Australian Nationals

Perth-based Chartered Accountant and Top Doorslammer drag racer, Robin Judd, claimed his first major Australian title when he won the 44th annual Fuchs Australian Nationals at Western Sydney Dragway on Sunday, September 13
In winning his first Australian National Drag Racing Association gold trophy, Judd broke a 10-year Nationals’ drought.
At previous Nationals, Judd was runner-up in the 2000 event, lost in round one of eliminations three times and did not qualify three times. The event has also been rained-out after qualifying three times.

Robin Judd wins the Australian Nationals

Robin Judd won Top Doorslammer at the 44th annual Fuchs Australian Nationals at Western Sydney Dragway yesterday, Sunday, September 13.
It is Judd’s first major Australian title and ANDRA Gold Christmas Tree (trophy).
Judd (5.850sec at 245.67mph) ran his quickest-ever pass to defeat archrival John Zappia (5.875/243.41) in the final. The race was quickest side-by-side Doorslammer pass ever recorded in Australia and the closest-ever in the 10 years Top Doorslammer has been run at the Australian Nationals.

Judd looking for title boost at Fuchs Australian Nationals

Perth-based Chartered Accountant and Top Doorslammer drag racer, Robin Judd, will be looking to break a 10-year drought at this weekend’s (September 11-13) 44th annual Fuchs Australian Nationals at Western Sydney Dragway (WSID).
Despite being runner-up in two Australian Top Doorslammer championship series, Judd has not won at the Nationals.
However, Judd is buoyed by the knowledge that when he has had a good Nationals result, he has gone close to winning the championship series.
